Thomas Miles earned a BS at the Philadelphia College of Textiles and his Masters at Roger Milliken’s Institute of Textile Technology. He began his career with Allied Chemical and worked at both Springs Mills and Winston Mills as Director of Knit Product Development. By the early 1980′s he had branched out as a freelance knit designer in the New York woman’s wear market. In 1986, Miles founded Circular Knit Services and has been serving major retailers and apparel companies in fine gauge single knit development for the past 25 years.
Susan Miles attained a BFA in Fine Art from SUNY Purchase, and an AAS in Textile Technology from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Ms. Miles studied color theory with students of Bauhaus color theorist Josef Albers and has a 25 year track record as a textile colorist with Circular Knit Services. For fun, she recently completed certificate programs in both Interior Design and Master Gardening. She has mixed paint in a busy big-box store, and works with clients on their interior design and garden projects in addition to her marketing work for Circular Knit Services.
